Expand the storage of your Android device without a sd card slot

Dominik StößelAndroid

More and more android devices are shipping without a micro sd card slot. So you might believe there is no chance to expand your physical storage capacity. Luckily, this is wrong!

There was a kickstarter campaign that brought up a little gadget called Meenova Mini Micro SD Card Reader. So now you have the possibility to expand your storage for 15$ and probably micro sd card costs. The big majority of all micro sd cards (up to 64 GB) are supported. You only need an Android device that supports USB-OTG.

USB On-The-Go, often abbreviated USB OTG or just OTG, is a specification that allows USB devices such as digital audio players or mobile phones to act as a host, allowing other USB devices like a USB flash drive, digital camera, mouse, or keyboard to be attached to them.
