Got an android tablet?
Is there a show on TV you wish you could watch on your Android? Is it on Hulu?
There’s a simple way to watch all your favorite Hulu shows on your android tablet, so far it’s the best method I’ve found. There are other methods but they often require you to have a streaming app on a PC. This method is completely self-contained on just your android device.
You will need to be root.
Here’s all you have to do.
> Download and install this specific version of XBMC (I’ve had trouble getting this to work on other versions): XBMC 12.1 Frodo
Now you need to download a specific file, this file is a patch that will allow XBMC to play hulu videos.
> Download the librtmp patch.
> Place the patch in the following folder on your android device:
Now we need to install fusion.
> Open XBMC
> Open System -> File Manager
> On the left-hand side, click Add Sources
> Click <None> and input the address: http://fusion.xbmchub.com
> Give the source a name (this can be anything), like; Fusion
Add Hulu as a source
> Open System -> Settings -> Add-ons -> Install from zip
> Select fusion from the list that appears on the right-hand side
> Scroll down and select, Video -> Repositories -> amazon_hulu-repository.bluecop.xbmc-plugins.zip
> Wait a minute for the new source to make itself available
> Now go back to the Add-ons menu, select Get Add-ons -> tap and hold on the bluecop repository, a dialog box will appear and allow you to, “Force refresh”
> Tap the bluecop repository, -> Video Add-ons -> Hulu
Return to the main menu if you aren’t there already.
> Go to, Videos -> Add-ons -> tap and hold Hulu -> Add-on settings
> In Hulu settings, tap on Streaming:
Quality: (anything 480p)
Default CDN: akamai
Network Pre-Roll: uncheck
Pre-Roll Ads: 0
Trailing Ads: 0
Enable Commercial Breaks: uncheck
> Tap OK
Now tap on the Hulu plug-in and enjoy your favorite Hulu shows. Of course there are plenty of other things you can watch with XBMC (even stuff on your local storage), but I figured I’d cover one of the most popular and trickiest sources to work with.
